Scanogram

A Scanogram is a diagnostic imaging technique used as a preliminary step to obtain a quick overview of the body area being examined. Often referred to as a planning image, it provides a simple X-ray-like image that helps radiologists determine the correct positioning and range for further, more detailed scans such as CT or MRI. This initial image helps to establish the exact field of view needed for the diagnostic process, ensuring that the following scans are accurate and focused on the right area of concern.
